Student loans are the biggest racket in the game.  And the United States Government is the scariest loan shark there is.  They don’t break bones, or snatch off fingernails, nah, much worse… they f with your credit.  And when your credit is f’ed-up, then you can fa-ged-aboud-it.

I hate to belabor this point – though it’s likely to come up near the 1st or the 15th of every month, when my loan payments are due… or past due.  But seriously, what was it all for?  Why did I borrow all that money?

So I could have enough loan statements to wallpaper my apartment?  So I could have something to wine blog about?  So I can die knowing there’s ONE thing that I never finished doing (that of course being paying off these damn loans).

There’s something the old folks always say, that pretty much says it all… and of course I’m paraphrasing: “only a few things in life are certain; staying black, paying student loans, and dying.”

Yep… that about sums it up.
